Are Your Employees Enjoying Their Work? | Identify Who’s Happy And Who’s Not With Mystery Shopping

The holidays are just around the corner and it is time to show your customers that your store has everything they need. You need to show them that you can make satisfy their needs, no matter the season or time.

But, even if you try your best to make your customers happy, are the people who render these services happy too? Are your employees, who are assisting your customers each day, happy to be working at your store?

Although the primary factor in a successful business is the customers, having unhappy employees can lead to a major shift in your success rate and can tremendously affect the shopping experience of your customers. Unhappy employees cannot provide excellent service to your customers and consequently, your customers will not enjoy shopping in a store that does not offer them quality service.

Imagine an employee that is unhappy with his work. Since he is not satisfied with his job, he in turn is not motivated to do his best. He does not greet the customers, go the extra mile to provide customer-assistance, and is indifferent to the customer-experience in general. Naturally, customers do not take well to that kind of service and since there are always a number of competitors to choose from, the tendency is that the customer will simply have to transfer this business to a competing store.

You do not want that situation to happen to your business, therefore it is essential that you make sure your employees are happy with their work. Providing them with training on how to properly provide your customers with excellent customer service will make their job easier. By offering employee benefits, your employees will have the gratification that they are indeed appreciated.

Mystery shopping is one way to know if your employees are happy or not. Through mystery shopping, you can better understand if an employee is happy with their job and if they are not. The mystery shopper can identify which employees are working their best in offering the customers quality service and which employees are simply disinterested.

If you are able to identify these employees, you can talk to them and find ways on how to make their jobs more satisfying for them and encourage them to give their best in their respective jobs. That way, you can ensure that all your customers are well taken care of by your satisfied employees.
