Feeling Fuelish

Angela Megasko of MarketViewpoint.com discusses how to make the most of what's in your fuel tank.Sometimes we pull up to the gas pump and feel absolutely sick. Prices seem to rise on a regular basis due to one world crisis or another. What we must realize is that complaining won’t make it all go away – but action will help to make it a bit easier on our wallets.

Treating your mystery shopping business as – well – the business it is, affords you the opportunity to make the most of each trip out of your driveway.

If you know you are headed in a certain direction for personal reasons, why not search out a mystery shop in the same area? Or more than one? Get in the habit of grouping your secret shops.

The dollars you earn help to offset the cost of your gas, and your trip to the mall for new shoes, while shopping the bank next door, has now become a business trip. You can write off the miles at tax time. (Please check with your tax advisor about your particular situation.)

Careful planning and spending time up front organizing your errands and your mystery shops can result in, at the very least, zero cost for your errand trip – and hopefully some extra cash as well!

And don’t forget about mystery shopping while on vacation. Contact your schedulers to see if they have opportunities in your vacation town!
