Every company has their cycles of when business is busiest. Retail, of course, has the holiday season. Houses sell more quickly in the late spring and early summer as people transition before school starts in September. And sports bars thrive during peak playoff seasons.
So what is a peak season for a legitimate mystery shopping company? And in turn, their shoppers?

We have clients that contract to have their locations shopped every month, some every quarter, and some sporadically throughout the year.
The work available to you will depend on these rotations and which client locations are within your mystery shopping range.
Due to the cycles, it is ever important for you to sign up with as many mystery shopping companies as possible. Study their job boards and their email solicitations to you. After a month or two, you will definitely see the pattern of who they mystery shop, which locations, and when the shops take place. And if you are not sure, contact them and ask!
Being aware of how often you can shop a particular location is another indicator for you to follow. Just this week we had someone contact us who knew that she had shopped a client exactly a year ago and was now eligible to shop again. She stated which locations she would like to do, and we assigned her immediately!
By contacting us instead of waiting to receive an email from us, she practically guaranteed herself the job.
Another tip: Monthly mystery shops are usually posted on the 1st of the month. And while we do sometimes offer bonuses for hard to fill shops as the month end nears, we can identify those shoppers who wait for the bonus! Trust that you won’t get the same job more than twice if we realize that is what you are doing.
Being proactive and understanding the cycles of the shops you enjoy doing most will enable you to better prepare physically and financially for growing your business.
