Is there anyone out there who isn’t juggling a million things? It seems even retirees have jam-packed days! Isn’t that supposed to be the time of life when things slow down? On the other hand, keeping busy with purpose keeps our mind sharp and our body moving (and hopefully fit). In these last few days of summer, before the “new” routines begin, take stock of what is going on in your life and imagine how nice it would be to not race through each day but to enjoy it.
- Decide what is truly most important to you. Whether it’s time with your family, making more money independently, time for fitness or gardening, if you truly realize something that you want, take the steps to make it happen.
- Take a realistic look at what has to fit into each day/week. Be sure there is one thing in each day that relates to what is most important. Olympic athletes don’t become gold-medal winners overnight – it is working a bit each day that gets us to our goals.
- If increasing your mystery-shopping jobs in order to earn more money is a goal, make sure you’ve done all of your homework to make your business the best that it can be. Sign on with many companies; find out how they work with their shoppers; and be a reliable, committed shopper. Take on only what you can handle and be the best that you can be!
Don’t forget to schedule time for you! Sit back, enjoy the next few weeks, and look realistically to the future. Set goals, work each day toward them, and start the next season feeling positive and relaxed!
