Many mystery shopping companies have a 4 to 8 week payment schedule. This is due to the need for us to make sure that our client companies accept your reports.
Unfortunately from time to time, we find mystery shoppers who do not really conduct a shop – but do submit one for payment! Due to these fraudulent individuals, it is in the company’s interest to pay our shoppers a few weeks out to be sure that the client confirms you were at their business, accepts your report and will pay us for your work.
However, with proper planning and scheduling, you can not only maintain your typical mystery shopping cash flow, but increase it for specific reasons such as holiday shopping. Shops conducted in September and October will be paid out in October and November – perfect timing for those end of year purchases!
So as summer vacations ends, kids go back to school, and the cooler temperatures descend upon us – begin to plan and map out your holiday budget, and your mystery shopping income!
And don’t forget to keep shopping in November and December – to pay for those ‘extra’ purchases with the income you will get later in the year and in January! We especially need shoppers in those months when people begin to get distracted with holiday festivities!
