The final quarter of the year tends to be a busy time for everyone. Whether you are celebrating holidays, traveling, or involved with year-end financial issues with your home or business, time just seems to slip away.
Mystery shopping companies are pretty much operating at full throttle with most clients, and our need for shoppers stays constant despite all that is going on around us. Many clients need this last round of shops to compile statistical and year-end reports.
Shoppers who are responsive, detail oriented and communicative are our treasure this time of year.
To be considered one of our treasured shoppers, we ask for you to observe the following:
- When you receive a solicit for a shop – please check your calendar before accepting. We know many of you just click on a shop and say yes, if it’s in a place that’s within your shopping area. However, when you receive the assignment you realize that other commitments prevent you from being able to meet the deadline. This results in rework on the scheduler’s part, and typically a delay in getting information back to the client.
- Watch the weather forecast. If you know a foul weather is approaching, and you have a couple of days to complete the shop – please try to do so before the storm hits. Should bad weather be predicted and you have a specific date to do a shop, immediately contact your account manager and find out what you will need to do.
- We count on our shoppers to be committed to the shops they agree to take. While everyone has emergencies and we do understand they happen, please follow through and finish those shops you have told us you would. We have a commitment to our clients to deliver the goods – and you are our only way of doing so.
Communication and planning are a shopper’s best means to completing a shop and maintaining an “10” status with any company.
Enjoy your holiday season, but be sure not to overbook or take on more than you can complete. And be sure to follow these rules the rest of the year as well!
